Active vibration control of flexible structures

Active vibration control is a significant topic and a very useful strategy to improve the performance of certain flexible structures, especially those lightly damped with light-weight design, where sometimes damping of the vibrations by passive treatments is not sufficient or even impossible, i.e. large space structures, high-precision machines, etc. Active vibration control of flexible structures is a multi-field topic including vibration analysis, modelling and analysis of flexible structures, analysis of actuators and sensors, controllers design, digital implementation and so on.
